Who is behind this?

Assalamualikum Brothers and Sisters,

This website was launched on the 17th October 2006 on the 25th birthday of the person behind this site.

The purpose of this site was to try and help raise money for the orphans around the world in conjunction with Charity Week.

The owner of the site wished to remain anonymous to the masses due to the fact that they would like to help these charities purely for the sake of Allah (swt).

The owner grew up without a father as he had passed away when the owner was only a couple of weeks old. His mother raised him up on her own.

We pray that his mother who had suffered such hardship and burden all her life is rewarded by Allah (swt) and attains Jannah, Insh'allah.

The owner was brought up in the UK and went through formal education.
Today, He has gained a BSc Hons Degree in Chemistry followed by the completion of a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Science and is currently a qualified teacher working in London.

The owner feels that he is extremely fortunate to have had his mother, family and faith to guide him throughout his life.

The same cannot be said about millions of others who have neither parents nor family.

This idea is not unique but it was one that had not been tried by any of the islamic societies so far and is definately going to be a first in the UK.

Thus, the owner decided to use the few IT skills and the limited know-how that he had and put it to use and see if he could generate and help others, Insha'Allah.

How does It Work?

This is a fairly new concept in advertising!

Basically, advertisers are buying pixels on this site to advertise their logo's linking their website to us.

The rate is just £1 per square which is exactly 100 pixels (10x10) putting this at a rate of 1pence per pixel.

The advert will, Insha'Allah remain in existence till 2010.

Money generated from adverts will be donated to charities that helps orphans around the world.

As this site will remain in existence for more than 3 years, you will receive more and more exposure online which should also boost your sales.

Who are you targeting?

In one word Muslims!
We want to show our strength and unity by providing a visual one stop site that shows the impact of muslims businesses and organisations in the UK.
So, get buying and help us donating!!

When will the donations be given to charities?

The money generated from the sale will be reserved for Charity Week and will be donated through the University of Hertfordshire Islamic society, Insha'allah.

Charity Week Advertisers

Terms

1) The minimum purchase is £1 (100 pixels), and the maximum purchase is whatever is left
2) When you 'buy' advertising space you will not 'own' any part of the this site, but rather you are granted the right to submit an image and link which will then be published on the game board in the respective space you have paid for
3) You can change your image or link at any time from within your Account.
4) Once your image and link are accepted and published on the ad board, you cannot get a refund. However we will resell your space on your behalf.
5) The site and game board will be online for at least 4 years starting from October 17th 2006.
6) No obscene/offensive/adult images/links will be accepted, we reserve the right to decide what is appropriate for the ad board. If you submit an image or link that is rejected, you will have the opportunity to provide an alternative, otherwise your money will be refunded and you will lose your space
7) If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked site to show offensive/obscene/adult material then your link will be removed until you provide a new one, and you will not get a refund of any kind for the link downtime
8) If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the game board, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and the space will become publically available again.
9) Images must be in GIF or JPEG format, and a reasonable file size Images.
10) Links must be to web pages only and begin with http://
11) You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit
12) Funds must be fully recieved and cleared before your pixels go live on the game board
13) There might be occasional downtime for site maintenence but I'll try and keep these to a minimum. We do not accept responsibility for down time caused by DOS attacks or any other direct assault on the site
